Whether clinical treatment is necessary depends on the seriousness of your request for help. If your request for help is appropriate within a clinical treatment, it is possible to stay in our clinic in South Africa. The treatment program we offer is intensive and lasts 8 weeks. This clinical trajectory is fully tailored to your situation.

During our clinical treatment, in addition to tackling and rehabbing your patterns, behavior and/or obsessive behavior, you will work intensively with highly experienced practitioners. Our practitioners will work with you to see which adjustments are needed in terms of your home situation, living environment, social contacts, etc. Clinical treatment at The Grange Youth Clinic takes place in South Africa. A beautiful and familiar environment, so that you can focus on your recovery. Before you start the treatment, you will have an intake with a psychologist and coordinating practitioner (usually a psychiatrist).

Treatment program

At the start of your clinical admission, we draw up a treatment plan. The treatment program, with a duration of 8 weeks, runs from Monday to Sunday and takes almost the entire day. It consists of an intensive group program and individual sessions with your personal therapist. It may be that unhealthy patterns are deeply intertwined in the entire family/system. Systemic therapy can also be a good additional support.

In addition to specialized modules, our treatment program will initially consist of:

  • Psychoeducation
  • Cognitive behavioral therapy
  • Community group (goal promote group cohesion)
  • CBT group
  • Mindfulness
  • Lifestyle group/self-care group
  • Introduction to meetings
  • Family group (different systems and clients come together in a group),
  • Decontextualization group/activity
